The Barn is a primitive and sister pattern to the "Saltbox House and Stone Wall". It can also be hooked as a traditional. I always think of primitives as rural designs. The old rug patterns always featured something around the home. Different materials that were available were cut by hand. We have come a long way with our patterns, special dyed wool materials and cloth stripping.
