I use 1" wide fabric strips, but did a kitty in fuzzy yarn. I tryed denim too, but was so thick. Did you use a Locker Hook with your denim or what kind of "large hook" did you use? What kind of Locking Thread do you use? I use string, & sometimes yarn. I Locker Hook rugs, wall hangings, hot pads, pot holders, and stuff.
