AWK! Be careful on adding black - yellow + black is a great formula for olive green!! I concur on using purple. I'm assuming you're overdyeing, so what I'd do is make a WEAK solution of BROWNISH purple. You don't want to end up with a tobacco brown, which is what you will (probably) get if you dye anything deeper than e.g. brownish lilac. You can try overdyeing with brown or black, but again use a WEAK solution (rather than shortening the dyeing time). And when you're using those two colors, your results depend entirely (well, all results actually depend entirely on the fiber gods, but we allk know that) on what kind of brown or black you use. Procion has I think 3 or 4 different blacks (greenish, purplish, etc.). I got a jar of "dark brown" awhile back that is a lovely shade, except it's way too red for my taste so I have to add olive green, which means I get all sorts of weird variegations, which fortunately I happen to like. Good luck! (And by all means pass on the formula and dye type to the rest of us once you're successful.)
