The House of Price, Inc. originated about 4 years ago when Bob and Charlotte
Price purchased the rug hooking pattern business of Jane McGown Flynn. Charlotte
has been involved in rughooking for over 20 year, she earned her certification
as an Accredited McGown Teacher and taught at a number of rughooking camps and
teacher workshops across the country, including the ATHA Region 1 School in
Madison, CT. Since that time we have developed and expanded the CHARCO Line of
Patterns, that include over 1,400 Jane McGown Flynn's patterns ($20.00). Several
years ago we introduce the PRIMCO Line of Patterns ($8.00) and now have over 250
patterns by 20 new and established designers from around the world. The PRIMCO
Line is oriented toward a more "primitive" or "wider cut
style" of rughooking.
Since our inception we have had a simple philosophy, "We support rughooking in any form." (We are not affiliated with any rughooking guild, but are a member and supporter of all national & international guilds.) We have been just as committed to the educational aspects of rughooking. The House of Price is the proud Sponsor of two excellent rughooking camps; a week long Rughooking School held each of the last 22 years at Chautauqua Institution in western New York in June; and a weekend camp held in Sandusky, OH each October.
In addition we are the Sponsor of the McGown Teacher Workshop Programs at which rughooks who are serious about teaching this unique "fabric artform" can earn their accreditation as a Certified McGown Teacher. The Workshops are held annually in; Ripley, WV in March, Eugene, OR in June, Dudley, MA in July, Asheboro, NC in September, and Dallas, TX in November.
We are very focused on our patterns and education and because we are from
Mars (PA) we are committed to providing "Service that is Out of This
World".

drawn by hand on the straight of the grain of 100% cotton monks cloth. After
careful color planning and selection, wool fabric is washed to tighten the weave
for a durable rug. Much of the wool is hand-dyed for a textured, aged

step-by-step directions, a hook by number chart, a hook and a color
photograph--all to ensure a finished piece that you will be proud to display in

fabric projects. We dye these mottled colors ourselves, using top quality
