Oriental Rug Designs is a complete supplier of punch needle hooked rugs. These rugs are punched without a frame. We have over 60 different rug design, 47 different wool yarn colors and a specially made ORD punch needle. These rugs are actual carpets when completed because the loops are cut and sheared. I carry all kinds of supplies for traditional and yarn hooked rugs (punch to some of use) including books, tools, frames, Dorr wool, 315 colors of wool rug yarn, punch needle kits, backing and over 150 patterns. Of the patterns, 45 are from the Shelburne Museum in Vermont and 12 are Molly Nye Tobey patterns( the museum has licensed RCR to reproduce these and a portion of the sale goes back to the museum). BONNYBROOK RUGS
Folk artist will design and hook your idea using the "New England" style of punchneedle hooking. This uses hand-dyed rug yarn instead of cloth and is extremely durable and attractive. I have done rugs, footstools (using and antique frame), pillows and wall hangings for clients. References available upon request. Basic charge is $65/square foot, including materials. $35/hour for design fee.
