Norma Flodman (or Utna as my son calls her) is my great aunt and my grandmother, Jane Olson's sister (Jane Olson Rug Studio). She hooks many of my grandmother's new designs and does incredible work. I have a few pictures of some of the rugs she has hooked and picked one to display. I know that those of you who have attended workshops or classes that have Jane Olson as a teacher or speaker have met Norma and Jane and if you have, I don't have to tell you how truly entertaining these two are together!

I'll never forget on one of their journeys across country for a workshop my Grandmother was teaching at in Florida, they stopped in to see me and my husband in North Carolina where at the time my husband was stationed at Camp Lejuene in the Marine Corps. He was in the Naval Hospital for knee surgery at not feeling too great. Well, Norma, my grandmother and grandpa roll into to town for their visit. I brought them to the hospital to see my husband who was sharing a room with 4 other marines / patients. Within 10 minutes of their visit, all but one of these patients were blushing and laughing. The one that wasn't laughing was unconcious. Now, any of you that have been around the military know how hard it is to shock these men and women! I guess it's not everyday these marines are visited by a couple of 70 year old hookers!
