Introduction

Accommodations

Please make Room and Board reservations directly with Ramada Inn in Ligonier at (724) 238-9545. Advise them you are attending the Rug Hooking School. Rooms are reserved for the school.

Room rates (subject to change) are *$84.00/day plus 9% tax a day per double occupancy room, continental breakfast included. Single occupancy room rates are $79.00/day plus 9% tax a day , continental breakfast included.

If sharing a room, please give your roommate's name when making your reservations. If you do not have a roommate, but would like one, make your reservation for double occupancy and note on your registration form that you would like a roommate assigned to you.

Will teach primitive rug hooking using textured wools to obtain the feel of old rugs which used fabrics other than wool. Only cuts of 6 and above to be taught. She is an author and designer of patterns.

Beverly Conway
Middlebury, VT
In teaching rug hooking will focus on exploring color through theory and design. Expanding awareness of color and critiquing color in art and hooked rug in influence and effect of colors. Bev is a pattern designer.

Activities and Information

An exhibit of rugs and hooked pieces will be held at the Library in Ligonier. Please bring your finished hooked pieces for the display. Attach name and maker of pattern to the piece.

There will be a store available for the purchase of supplies and patterns. Any special supplies can be ordered in advance and will be available when you arrive.

Bring your hooking equipment. Also bring a light and extension cord for hooking in the classroom or your room.

Sessions will begin on Monday at 9:00 a.m. and will end at 3:30 p.m., with one hour for lunch, Monday through Thursday.

Coffee will be supplied for evening hooking.

Registration

Registration will be held on Sunday, May 02, 2004 in the Ramada Inn lobby. Dinner will be served Sunday, May 02 at 6:00 P.M.

Registration Fee

The registration fee is $325.00. This includes instruction, classroom space, 1 dinner, 4 lunches, 2 daily beverage stations, sales tax and gratuities (included).

Deposit

A $162.50 (nonrefundable) deposit must accompany your registration form. Balance of $162.50 is due April 15, 2004.
