"Images Of The Sea"
Hooked and Designed by D. Marie Bresch

ABOUT THE ARTIST: D. Marie Bresch
The art of rug hooking became part of my life while living in Canada (1969). After two 10-week courses of very intensive and educational teaching, I was "HOOKED." After a year of classes through the Ottawa Board of Education to learn how to teach Rug Hooking to adults, I was certified as a teacher in their Adult Education program and have been involved with many aspects of the art since that time.

My affiliations include:
The association of Traditional Hooking Artists (A.T.H.A.) Guild serving as the Regional XII Representative, President, Executive Board Advisor, and Chairperson of the Education Committee.

The National Guild of Pearl K. McGown Hookrafters, Inc. as a Certified Teacher, Charter Member of Western McGown Teachers Workshop

The Ontario Hooking Craft Guild, Member

I teach workshops throughout the U.S. by special arrangements; teach a special workshop to groups called "So You Want to Become a Teacher"; hold classes in my home; design hooked art for myself as well as for others; repair and restore old rugs. Rug Hooking is an art form of the past and athe pathway to creating "Heirlooms of Tommorrow."

ABOUT "IMAGES OF THE SEA":
It was designed and created because of the many years our family traveled throughout the world with the U.S. Navy, To have the visual memories of the water and waves that we experienced while traveling aboard ship will be part of our leagcy for future generation.
